Student Body Association Fee Increase and Library Use Fee Increase Pass
Associated Students announced late
Thursday night that both the student body association fee increase and
the library use fee increase passed at the ballot boxes. Here are the
results:
Student Body
Association Fee Yes - 1,866 (64.6%)
No - 1,023 (35.4%) Total - 2,889 (100%)
Library Use Fee Yes - 2,073 (71.5%)
No - 827 (28.5%) Total - 2,900 (100%)

Library Reopens After Evacuation
The library has reopened after a student accidentally used an emergency exit, triggering an audible alarm. Campus police say the student panicked, and then attempted to turn off the audible alarm by pulling on a fire alarm. That caused the fire alarm for the entire building to go off, and prompted the evacuation of both the Library and Manchester Hall. The student who set off the fire alarm came forward a short time later and told police what happened. Police say because it was an accident, that person will not face any charges.

student-produced news podcast that’ll cover news and events happening here at
San Diego State University.
You’ll be able to listen to The Aztec Update at various

greater San Diego area.
The Aztec Update will also be available right here on our
